Daily Routine

One of my first duties of the day is to look at crimes that occurred in the previous 24 hours and read about  any serious occurrences from over night.  Every week day at 0830 staff meet to discuss major cases and discuss what has happened during the last 24 hours.  Investigators are assigned cases and command staff are brought up to speed on cases.  We make a concerted effort to stay on top of crime trends to keep our community safe.

Here is what I received this morning (some modifications to protect private data and remain respectful of the individual and family in this case).

No serious crime incidents overnight.
One call of interest that involves an individual man who died of was appears to be natural causes outside.  Our thoughts are with the family in this incident.
